We have spent so much time on record labels and it is always the same thing…. they fail fail fail! We will no longer put our careers in the hands of inept industry guys that have brought a once great music industry giant down to nothing more than a frail shell of what it used to be only barely staying alive by robbing the bands that they have on their rosters. We say no more…. we believe the next industry giants will be record labels funded by the people for bands that they like to listen to. It takes a lot of money to make the wheels roll on this machine but we are the masses and no matter what it is… creating, promoting, radio push… video expenses…. no matter what it is WE WILL ACHIEVE IT TOGETHER!!!. This is the future!

We are trying to raise money for a radio campaign as well as touring so we have come up with a kickstarter style campaign. We have decided to use the company called gofundme instead,its pretty much the same thing as Kickstarter but they take less of a cut. In 1998 a heavy rock band called Lappdog was formed in Jackson, Tennessee, USA by Cris Brown and Jerome Hubble. In 2002 and after various band line-ups the name was changed to One Less Reason. It was at this point that Cris Brown decided to develop a more melodic rock sound. This change of name and direction has served them well ever since.

One Less Reason have headlined many shows themselves and have also supported Shinedown, Seether, One Republic, Theory of A Deadman and 10 Years to name a few.

In 2003 they briefly signed with Universal Records but felt the major label system was not right for them. They parted ways in 2004 and thankfully managed to regain control of their catalogue of music.

Since then they have self-released 4 albums: everydaylife (2005); Getting Back Your Self Esteem (2006), A Lifetime Burning (2008) and Faces and Four Letter Words (FAFLW) (2010). In 2011 a small independent label, Arsenic Records, released a new version of FAFLW which was produced by Chris Henderson of 3 Doors Down.

In 2012 the band received a Gold Record Award for sales of ‘everydaylife’. An amazing achievement especially in today’s difficult music market. Their music has been featured in a promo spot for CSI:Miami and the feature film ‘Hero Wanted’.

They are devoted to their fans (and vice-versa) and built up an incredible 148,000 fans on MySpace before migrating to the more user friendly Facebook where, as at September 2012, they have had over 27,000 ‘likes’.

The current line-up is Cris Brown (vocals and guitar); Brad Butler (lead guitar); Jerry Bailey (rhythm guitar) Jeff Moore (drums); Terry Brown (Bass).

The band are currently working on a new EP, ‘A Blueprint for Writhing’, which is due for release in November 2012. They also plan to release another EP in 2013.
